My name is Chris Sarette, and I have the pleasure of working at the non-profit organization Invisible Children. We are a group based in San Diego that has grown immensely in the past few years and in August moved from a cramped office to a 10,000 sq. foot building. Our new space had no furnishings and only a quick coat of primer on the walls. Being a non-profit organization, our last priority has been spending time and resources on our workplace, although this building is frequented by our supporters and donors.
A few months after we moved in, I met Jonathan Rubenstein, the owner of Paintjar, through a series of correspondences over email regarding his involvement with our organization. I asked Jonathan if he knew any philanthropic painters in the San Diego area who might be interested in painting our offices, which had now sat bare for some time. Jonathan responded by taking on the project himself, even though he is based in Chicago! We set a date in April and eagerly awaited the arrival of his team.
Jonathan’s team drove from Chicago on a Sunday and was painting our offices on that very next Tuesday. They were extremely hard working and amazed all of our staff with the speed and thoroughness with which they completed the task. They were courteous in working around our staff’s needs and literally transformed our office space in less than a week. We can now take pride in our headquarters and are deeply grateful for Jonathan’s philanthropic heart. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Paintjar and its team.
